Brother number two' Nuon Chea dies

Nuon Chea commonly known
as brother No. 2 was born on 7 July 1926 in Battambang Province. He was a Cambodian
politician, chief ideologist of the Khmer Rouge.
On 19 September 2007, 81
year-old Chea was arrested at his home in Pailin which charged him with war
crimes and crimes against humanity.
On 7 August 2014, the court convicted Chea
of crimes against humanity and sentenced him to imprisonment for the remainder of his life.
At the age of 93,
Brother No. passed away this evening on 04 August 2019 at Khmer Soviet
Friendship hospital. The cause of his death
was not given.
